Parish Councillors play a vital role in representing local interests, improving facilities, and working on initiatives that benefit residents. Whether it’s supporting local events, tackling environmental concerns, or improving public spaces, your voice can help drive change.
No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to get involved, listen to residents, and work with others to enhance our community.
Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month. We have two committees, Environment and Development, which discusses planning applications, looks after the recreation grounds and the Waterside Valley – E&D meet on the second Monday of the month and Finance and Personnel, which does what it says on the tin! F&P meets, currently, on Wednesday morning, the week after E&D. It is expected that Councillors serve on at least one of the committees. Training is available for new councillors.
