Due to a grant being obtained from Awards for All, the Council was able to add more equipment to the play area at Westhill. After consultation with the children of years 5 and 6 in Westfield Primary School Council added the following for older children within the grounds of Westhill Rec:
- Pick up sticks
- Buddy board
- Fly mobile
In 2020 a fitness track was installed around the perimeter of the site and 12 pieces of outdoor gym equipment were added.
