Westfield is equipped with six public-access defibrillators to assist in emergencies. You can find them at the following locations:
📍 Elm Tree Road Co-op
📍 Mardons Club (Nightingale Way)
📍 Fire Station (Wells Road)
📍 Pavilion, Norton Hill Recreation Ground
📍 Whitstones Fish and Chip Shop (Fosseway South)
📍 Westhill Club (Westhill Road)
These defibrillators are available for public use in case of cardiac emergencies. If needed, dial 999 for immediate assistance and instructions.
To view the locations of defibrillators in Westfield, you can use the Defib Finder tool, which utilises data from The Circuit, the national defibrillator network. By entering “Westfield, Somerset” into the search bar, you can see a map displaying registered defibrillator locations in the area.
Please note that not all defibrillators may be registered on this platform. In an emergency, always call 999; the operator can guide you to the nearest available defibrillator.
Three emergency bleed kits have been installed in Westfield at Norton Hill Recreation Ground, Westhill Recreation Ground and the Co-op on Elm Tree Avenue as part of a safety initiative by Avon and Somerset Police in collaboration with HeartSafe UK. These kits, designed to help control severe bleeding in emergencies, contain essential medical supplies such as trauma dressings and a tourniquet.
More information and kit locations can be found on the HeartSafe website; www.heartsafe.org.uk/bleed-kit-homepage
