A new consultation has launched seeking views on proposals which aim to give more options to travel sustainably – whether by bus,
walking, or cycling. The proposals extend from Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Westfield to Bath and Bristol along the A37, A362 and the
A367.
In the first stage of the “Somer Valley Links” project in late 2021, residents shared concerns and views about transport locally – with one
of the top priorities being the need to make improvements to cycling and walking. 70% rated safety along the route as poor.
This feedback has helped the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority to develop these preliminary proposals in partnership with Bath
& North East Somerset Council which are being presented in this six-week consultation.
