Details about the Fund
The Love Your Park Community Fund will support groups across Bristol and Bath with a small grant to make a community focused project happen in their local park. The scheme is part of our mission as a charity to make our parks better places to meet, play, learn, grow, breathe and enjoy nature.
Groups can apply for a small grant between £500 and £1000. The Fund is aimed at smaller groups in our cities – including new informal groups as well as more established ones and those connecting with harder to reach groups within our communities.
What projects can we consider?
Projects must focus on supporting community action in parks following the pandemic. Applications must also demonstrate how the project will meet at least one of the following outcomes:
- Supporting community recovery from the pandemic by providing opportunities for local people to come together around shared activities.
- Encouraging the use of parks & green spaces by people or groups who don’t regularly use green spaces and benefit from them
- Improving parks for nature by enhancing habitats
- Supporting community health and wellbeing by providing opportunities for people to access nature and be active close to home.
It could be a new project that will benefit the wellbeing of a group of local people, encourage volunteering or help improve a park for people and nature. Or it might be an existing project or activity that needs a small injection of funds to be able to make a real difference to the local community. Please read the guidance for further details.
